The UPF is a public university in Spain. You can read about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pompeu_Fabra_University http://www.upf.edu/organitzacio/en/ The About page covers this as well. All research done on GPUGRID is done with the intention of release to the public domain (once it is completed, of course). No work done on GPUGRID is done for any private company or organization.
