BOINC is asking over and over and over every 1 minut for CPU tasks, however most crunchers know that GPUGRID only has GPU WU's. Why is BOINC making this silly request over and over? So I will never get new work ofr GPU. I set Einstein to accept new work (otherwise the pc is doing noting) and got immediately 7 new GPU tasks. So if we are lucky tommorow perhaps a new task for GPUGRID. Greetings from TJ |

Is CPU unchecked in your GPUGrid settings on this website? XtremeSystems.org - #1 Team in GPUGrid |

No it is not, because I thought it is necessary for the project. I will uncheck it. Thank you werdwerdus. Greetings from TJ |

I have now at the GPUGRID preference set not to use the CPU, but BOINC is still asking CPU tasks for the GPUGRID project (wich it will never get). I now have to set Einstein@home to no more work, wait for the queue to be almost empty and then do a manual request for new work? Can it be done differently without making a config file? BOINC is still asking CPU tasks for the GPUGRID project You can't prevent this. It's a Boinc feature. FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

BOINC is still asking CPU tasks for the GPUGRID project Thank you. But what is then the use of the option "use cpu" in GPUGRID? Greetings from TJ |

It has no use. The GPUGrid site is adapted from a Boinc template. To start stripping parts like that out could interfere with function and future server-side updates. Think of it like your appendix, it has no known use, but you wouldn't want to go through an operation to remove it without good cause. FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |
