I thought that WUs using cuda31 were no longer being added to the work queues? A PC of mine that has been running cuda42 WUs for some time now processed a cuda31 WU this weekend. If this was a new WU recently added to the queue, it seems like cuda31 would be an inefficient use of computing time.

Is there a legitimate reason that cuda31 is still being used?

The most of the 2xx eqipped machines still need cuda31 ;) it still can happen that a newer machine get a cuda31 but i mostly get 42 on 5xx . The selection is much better then at the beginning of cuda42 app i find. so i would take it not that serious for one single wu :)

Thanks. I'm running a 5xx on the machine that got that one; although, most of the WUs I get on that machine are 42s.

i'm still getting them occasionally. applied the workaround to crunch it with the cuda42 binary and all is good. still would rather not have to babysit though.
