As far as I know, the 6xx series is not supported be XP. Only W7. You will need to go the Linux route I BELIEVE. May be wrong though. |

When searching beta on NVidia.com it said the 301.42 was good for XP64. The release lists it in the supported software section... have you tried it yet? http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/44963 This Release 300 driver includes drivers designed for the following Microsoft® operating systems: Microsoft Windows® XP • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 Update Rollup2 • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 • Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004 • Windows XP Professional • Windows XP Home Edition • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Thanks - Steve |

It was good that NVidia released a Kepler driver for XP. I mentioned this back on the 27th May, and it was discussed prior to recommending the 301.42 driver. "The recommended 301.42 WHQL driver should support a GTX690 on XP - at least it says it does at the NVidia site. Earlier WHQL and Beta drivers didn't support Kepler on XP" " http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=2998&nowrap=true#25295 FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

Got it. Was just seeking a positive confirm since "should", "does", and "vendor assertions" are sometimes different. Since it is a non-trivial aspect of my new build, I opted to "measure twice". Thank you to all for replying. Ken Florian |
