would be nicer if we could sort by the column headings. In particular I would really like to be able to sort tasks by "Sent" date to get a quick view of my recent history.

Agreed. I thought the same recently when I didn't see any tasks in progress for one system. Turns out I had not run out of work - there was a task In Progress on the next page. Even though it had been sent about an hour earlier, and some of the 20 tasks shown as completed on the first page had returned several days earlier it's ID was 'down the list', and it wasn't a resend.
Sorting by task ID isn't much use for us, especially with so many task types. For crunchers having the default sort as 'Date' would be more useful; a chronological list rather than a meaningless task ID list.
