My experience of the best way how to install new Win drivers: - XP> stop Boinc core, install drivers and reboot, then start Boinc core - W7> reboot to windows safe mode, install drivers, reboot to standard mode, then start Boinc core |

...and don't forget to check the "exit scientific applications" checkbox on exiting. Except that on install of BOINC software, I always elect to disable this bloody-annoying 'feature', and cannot for the life of me find a way to otherwise exit the manager in this manner. If one has disabled this (nagging) request, then surely the BOINC manager should add an option on the File>Exit menu to File>Exit & Quit & ShutDown & Everything! so that I don't have to use Task Manager! (Please excuse the Australian idioms.) |

I just started very recently. I did notice that the newest boinc had issues with my 460 and 570 with long projects failing at start quite a bit. I ordered another 570 to replace the 460 and since have not failed a unit. |
