Please try to run this program from within the projects/www.ps3grid.net dir on command line and send me the result (via private message if you prefer).

Weird... Have you copied the .exe in the www.ps3grid.net dir ?

It also doesn't run on my Vista64 PC, but I got an error message about a missing cutil32.dll...

I think I have to try that one, when I get back home... as through RemoteDesktop CUDA/GPU is not available.

!!edit!!
I have this same error, so first we need the DLL and then we can test...

!!edit2!!
I found that the cutil32.dll is part of the CUDA SDK (as it seems) perhaps try to install that one to.

!!edit3!!
I installed the CUDA SDK, and the deviceQuery.exe is a part of it, I am able to run this, so when I get back home I can run it to see what comes back, as the GPU is not available through RemoteDesktop

Run the same exe please:
http://www.multiscalelab.org/grid/en/HelpNvidiaGPU#preview

You need the cudart.dll distributed with the application, not the one distributed with BOINC and cutil32.dll which is downloadable from the page above.

These fields are important. Device emulation had Major number < 1.
The Device name is what is reported by BOINC.

Let's see what is for the others.

Which is wrong. Can you paste the all text here to see if even the other fields are wrong? Can we have some more users reports?

Also it would be interesting to try the 64 bit version of deviceQuery.exe for Windows, if anyone can compile the CUDA SDK using the CUDA toolkit on a 64 bit windows, deviceQuery is in the SDK.

Robinsky have you installed the 32bit or 64 bit SDK?
I installed the 64bit SDK but could only find a cutil64.dll in ...\NVIDIA CUDA SDK\bin\win64\EmuRelease\

I installed the 64bit, which has a 64.dll, but in the SDK\bin\win64\Release\ folder you can find the deviceQuery.exe which works, so it is better to run this one.

EDIT.. No need to compile it yourself, as it is available.
I might be able to provide the deveiceQuery and perhaps supporting dll's if needed, but you might just install the CUDA SDK and have it available and working.

Even better, could people report the results of the 32 bit (provided above) and 64 bit application deviceQuery.

Ok, maybe we need to distribute a Win64 application.
Even though, BOINC should work as it is 64 bit and links with the 64 bit cudart.dll.
Stefan, which cudart.dll is using deviceQuery? The one from BOINC?

I don't think so, because as you can see in the path of my last post, I simply ran the deviceQuery.exe from the CUDA SDK dir...
How can I tell which cudart.sll it is using?

Here's the output from dependency walker/64bit deviceQuery.exe
