I started a 'couldn't download WU thread', but I thought to start a thread where we can report al kind of problems with this BOINC version as I have run into a new problem. My new problem is that with a deadline of 5 days and not enough GPU work from other projects, my GPUGrid WU jumped into 'High Priority' mode. What seems to be the problem here. Anthony. The longer I live, the more reasons I develop for wanting to die. |

The Boinc developers aren't going to look over here, they have a hard enough time keeping up with the mailing list :-) However to answer your question it goes into high priority mode if its possibly going to miss its deadline. That means your cache is probably set too high or its got too much gpu work from other projects. It can also do it if the estimate from the project says its going to take a long time to do even though it may not take as long as your PC thinks. The DCF can also effect this figure. What have you got the cache set to now? The Min and Max figures? BOINC blog |
