I upgraded to the latest beta drivers last night, in an effort to fix an issue where the stable drivers (285.62) would periodically crash on my machine, resulting in a temporary freeze and black screen. So far, it seems to have worked, but unfortunately, I now get systematic errors when running work units, both standard and long. It's always the same: <core_client_version>6.12.34</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> The system cannot find the path specified. (0x3) - exit code 3 (0x3) </message> <stderr_txt> # Using device 0 SWAN: FATAL : Unable to enumerate devices Assertion failed: 0, file swanlib_nv.c, line 390 This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. </stderr_txt> ]]> I've suspended the project so as to not waste server resources by fetching WUs only to crash them. I don't know if this is something specific to my machine or if this will eventually affect anyone upgrading to the new drivers when they become WHQL certified. |

I'm getting these errors as well with the latest beta drivers: <core_client_version>7.0.8</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> The system cannot find the path specified. </stderr_txt> ]]> |

I'm getting those errors aswell with the latest stable drivers 295.10. Going to not do any GPUGrid work at all anymore, this problem is over 1 Month old already since initial post and apparently no one cares. Good Job there. |

I'm getting those errors aswell with the latest stable drivers 295.10. Going to not do any GPUGrid work at all anymore, this problem is over 1 Month old already since initial post and apparently no one cares. http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=2870#23931 I recommend you uninstall the drivers, make a clean instalation and go to the boinc version 6.12.34 I upgraded to the latest beta drivers last night <core_client_version>7.0.8</core_client_version> Beta drivers imply NVIDIA is not sure they are 100% right From boinc web page: 7.0.22 Development version(MAY BE UNSTABLE - USE ONLY FOR TESTING) I don't think it's posible to a project with limited resources to atend bugs that are caused for the development of other teams. There are other projects that have testing sites because the have a lot more ressources and they can improve BOINC. HOW TO - Full installation Ubuntu 11.10 |
