Hello everyone. Can you help me with this error? It happens only with NATHAN CB1. <core_client_version>6.12.30</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> - exit code 98 (0x62) </message> <stderr_txt> # Using device 1 # There are 2 devices supporting CUDA # Device 0: "GeForce GTX 460" # Clock rate: 1.35 GHz # Total amount of global memory: 1008402432 bytes # Number of multiprocessors: 7 # Number of cores: 56 # Device 1: "GeForce GTX 460" # Clock rate: 1.35 GHz # Total amount of global memory: 1008271360 bytes # Number of multiprocessors: 7 # Number of cores: 56 SWAN: Using synchronization method 0 MDIO: cannot open file "restart.coor" ERROR: # Energies have become nan called boinc_finish Thanks |

Not a number, suggests a task error. I would still upgrade to 6.12.34. FAQ's HOW TO: - Opt out of Beta Tests - Ask for Help |

Hi Aon, reducing memory clock by 10% often fixes those nan errors. |

Thanks Stoneageman. If I reduce memory clock tasks would take longer to complete, wouldn't they? I wouldn't want to do that as I barely qualify for the 24h bonus with the Gianni's. I upgraded my boinc version like skgiven suggested (not sure it was a good idea though to go all the way to boinc 7. We'll see how it goes.) and the graphic card drivers. Now I am waiting to see how things work out with the upgrades. My first impression is that the system is slower but I will wait until several wu's are completed to draw the conclusions. |

The tasks will run slower, but it will be less than 10%. I suggest you to increase your GPUs' fans speed, and/or install extra coolers, if you can. Reducing the GPU's temperature improves their stability, and longevity. |
