Hi: NATHAN tasks I see you have a very rare performance with the CPU, I mean. Ubuntu 11.10-64bit i7-930 and GTX 295; if the task is executed on the GPU that has hung the screen has a CPU load of 50-70% all the time, but is not reflected in the time of execution of the task. ..?. On the contrary if the GPU is running free, the CPU load is normal (low) 18 to 25% in one case as in the other, the CPU time are very low (650-750 sec). It seems somewhat anomalous behavior. Greetings. |

Carlesa, I am trying to understand your problem better. Are you saying that when the task is run on a GPU that is also used to run your display/screen, it uses 50-70% of CPU? And that when run on a GPU that is not used for the display/screen, the CPU load is 18-25%? Do I understand you? Please confirm so I can look into it. --- |

I've checked in the last two times I've run this type of task, and times of CPU usage can see them in my job history is very low but during 10h of work almost on the CPU load was high. What are the cause NATHAN tasks no doubt, had only to cease suspends high CPU activity. On several occasions I changed the GPU (from 0 to 1 and vice versa) repeating the phenomenon as it was the GPU or GPU screen free. With Windows 7 I have not yet been proven. Greetings. |

Hello: Well I think I've seen the problem. The point is that the GPU load is so high that blocks the use of overloading the CPU monitor. The GPU does not support monitor has no problem naturally. If you do not use the monitor on the CPU load remains at an acceptable 15-25%. NATHAN tasks overload the GPU too. Greetings. |
