I think I reported the first problem already via email to you -
If the boinc client is started, only the GPU task, and sometimes a second task is started, and only if I suspend another task (even if it is not running) BOINC starts the crunching on all four cores - this happens on both of my computers and can be reproduced at every BOINC startup.

The second thing I noticed is that my LCD screen does not go in sleep mode if a GPU task is running. I've set the energy saving settings to put the screen to sleep mode after three minutes of inactivity, but this only works if no GPU task is running - if the GPU application is running, the monitor won't go to sleep... ;)
