Here's a task (there are many others) from one of my computers that is throwing an exit code of -40 on GPUGRID tasks: http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=3815539 The only thing that is taking place when these errors are occurring is that someone is using "Switch User" at that point to log in to a second username on the computer. Is this a known error? I searched the forums but couldn't find anything - just want to make sure that's what is causing this. |

Here's a task (there are many others) from one of my computers that is throwing an exit code of -40 on GPUGRID tasks: Yes, it's a known problem for all BOINC projects using GPU processing: it arises from the new graphics driver security model (WDDM) used in Windows Vista and Windows 7. There's not a lot you can do about it at the moment, except try to shut down BOINC before switching users, and re-start it again afterwards. They are attempting to build some workrounds into the upcoming BOINC v6.12 (in testing), but I don't know how successful they've been yet. |

Thanks! I might as well just have users log out and then back in later - I was only using Switch User for the benefit of GPUGRID computing time. |
