Stoneageman, your top host mentions 4 Nvidia boards, but the reference D13U is not one that I know. After some research on the net the best answer I got was that these are boards not available on the market yet, and their reference is to hide their real identity, probably the next generation after the 500 series. If yes you are a lucky man to get such hardware before everybody. Anyway I was wondering what kind of wattage your PSU has to handle four boards. You would need at least 2'500 watts or even more. Maybe you already described your host in the forum, but i could not find a thread on it. I would be interested to know the configuration. Maybe some pics would be nice. :-) |

He has GTX580 GPUs; D13U is just a reporting bug due to the drivers. A 1500W PSU would suffice to support four GTX580's; TDP is 244W, so 4x244=976W. Depending on the CPU, motherboards, RAM... you might even get away with a 1200W PSU, though I would be more cautious if I forked out for those cards. PSU Calculator |
