Post any observations about the latest drivers here. ---------------------------------------------------- Tested Driver Version: 266.58 WHQL Release Date: 2011.01.18 Operating System: XP Pro x86 SP3 GPU: GTX470 I saw no change in performance from the previous 260.99 drivers running several tasks. One to watch out for is a GPU frequency drop. Disabling the screen saver and selecting power options might help. |

I found that the nvidia control panel wouldn't come up on my machine with a GTX295 when using 266.58. No error message. It just refused to work. It worked on other Win 7 x64 machines with different cards, just not the one with a GTX295. Ended up back with 260.99 Driver: 266.58 WHQL OS: Win 7 x64 GPU: GTX295 BOINC blog |

Currently using the latest beta driver, 270.26, for Linux x64. No performance changes from the previous driver release, although running nvidia-smi -q won't show the GPU utilization percentage. It only shows the temperature and the fan speed. |

I tried 267.24 and while it installed fine it seems GPUgrid doesn't want to give it any work. The server status page shows work available. I might try another project and see if it can pickup work. By the way it does fix the nvidia control panel problem. Cheers, MarkJ 6/03/2011 5:39:26 PM | GPUGRID | [sched_op] Starting scheduler request BOINC blog |

I have been using this driver since yesterday without any problems on WinXP x32 - GTX 480 for 24 hours. I'll be trying on Win7 x64 - GTX 295 later today. Thanks - Steve |

I found that the nvidia control panel wouldn't come up on my machine with a GTX295 when using 266.58. No error message. It just refused to work. It worked on other Win 7 x64 machines with different cards, just not the one with a GTX295. Ended up back with 260.99 i had that exact same problem when one of my machines had the gtx275 cards installed. recently they were changed to gtx570s and 266.58 drivers and the nvidia control panel now works. i was using the older drivers on that machine too when the 275s were installed. that machine was also running win 7 x64 so maybe its and issue with the 200 series cards on that os? in my other system thats still running the 275s, the nvidia control panel works with the 266.58 drivers using xp 32 bit. |
