So I've been running some GPU-z while crunching lately and I've noticed that GPUGrid only uses likt 60-70% of my GTX260.

I'm going to guess it's to reduce / eliminate interface lag. But this is on a crunchbox and I don't care about interface lag.

Sooooo... Does anyone out there know if there is something I can do to get the usage up to say 95-98% so a good chunk of my card isn't sitting around idle?

Your computers are hidden, therefore it is impossible to give you a precise advice. But you can find some answers in the FAQ: Best configurations for GPUGRID thread.
Also, you might use the forum search.

Well hosts shown or not, I'm not sure what info you need other than I havea GTX260 with the latest drivers. Though I did leave the drivers part out of the OP.

As for the thread / search. I've read it before and used the search and didn't find anything about raising the GPU usage. I did spend some time trying to find the info on my own first.

Mainly I was wondering if like other projects you could use command line arguments in an app_info.xml to tweak how the app uses the card or if running 2 tasks at the same time would get the gpu usage up.

Retvari Zoltan directed you to the thread with the info you need,
The FAQ: Best configurations for GPUGRID thread.

Free up one CPU core (so set Boinc to use 75% CPU if you have a quad core CPU), use swan_sync=0, report tasks immediately, keep a low cache.

I suggest you use the 197.45 driver.

My GTX260 runs at around 95% GPU utilization when crunching one of the highly optimized tasks. There are several task types so GPU utilization varies.

Good luck,

I've set the <count> in my app_info to 0.5 , causing BM to load and run two wu's. This increases GPU-usage to near 90%. Right now I'm running one KASHIF and one IBUCH @82 - 91%.
swan_sync helps or, if you running win, use the task manager to increase the process priority from below normal to higher than normal.

Works for Fermi's, but I expect this will fail on CC1.3 cards including the GTX260. I also don't recommend this for long tasks unless you have a GTX580, GTX570, GTX480, GTX470 or perhaps GTX465, and even then there are ways to get over 95% without it's use. I can think of a few people who would utilize it, but at the minute I am not one.
