I've been crunching WCG workunits for a very long time, and I also have crunched a GPUGRID WU once. However, the second WU I get is quite strange in nature, the 'To Completion' is increasing by the seconds just like 'Time Elapsed'. It started at 8 hours but now after 12 hours elapsed, the 'To Completion' is something around 16 hours (the WU is 35.5% completed). Unlike my WCG 'To completion' which getting decreased as it progress, GPUGRID 'to completion' is getting increase by the seconds all the time. Why is this? |

You probably have a problem with that 26099 driver. It can cause cards to go into energy saving mode. If you use that driver of the two beneith it you will run the 6.13app which is slower for the GT240. I suggest you uninstall the faulty driver and install the 197.45 driver; that way you will run the 6.12app and complete tasks under 24h. |

Thanks, now I know where the bugs is. I'm not going to rollback the drivers, as I notice there are improvement where I need it. I just open NVidia setting, and set the power to Maximum instead of Adaptive. Now the 'To Completion' is slowly decreasing. Well, it's not decreasing like WCG CPU Work unit, but it's like. 30 second increasing, then decreased by 1 minute. So it does getting decreased. Thank's for telling me about the bug. Have NVidia been notified regarding this so that it can be fixed in future driver? |
