I a great fan of GPUGRID and I have been using it for quite a while. I want to dedicate my computer time to advance knowledge in medicine and biology.

Recently, I got 120 h to compute a task. The first estimate stated that it would take about 110 h. Since I run BOINC while working, my computer performs other tasks at the same time and time estimates always go up a while. Towards the end, it took 120 h and 20 minutes to compute it. When it was finished, I saw that no credit had been awarded because of a missed deadline.

Is it always like that, no flexibility in increasing the deadline a bit?

New applications are presently being tested and developed. The task that did not give you credit ran on a new application version, that has now been superseded. You are presently using app v6.13. The 6.12 task was not reported until after 5days; the cut off point for credit.

There is a standard credit system for tasks that are reported within 5days, a bonus for completing within 2days and a further bonus for completing within 1day:

2-5days = 100% credit
1-2days = 125% credit
0-1day = 150% credit

A fast task turnaround is important here, so tasks that are not reported within 2 days get reissued. If you complete a task between 4 and 5 days the chances are that the task has been both reissued and returned, making your contribution limited to confirming task credibility.

With only 32shaders your 9600M GT would have just about returned tasks within 4days running 24/7, so it is perhaps not worth using it here, but you may want to see how it gets on with the 6.13 app. Generally we do not recommend using mobile GPU's, especially 65nm ones.
