BOINC won't run GPUGRID tasks with Tesla C2050

BOINC is ver. 6.10.17. When requesting tasks from the GPUGRID project, the server answers "Your computer has no NVIDIA GPU". This is obviously not the case, as I have a Tesla C2050 in the computer. Is BOINC too old? I am reluctant to upgrade it, because I am afraid installing a non-Ubuntu packaged version will break the existing BOINC setup. ID: 19002 · Rating: 0 · rate: / Reply Quote

How strange - that worked, thanks. Can you explain why this is necessary? Is BOINC otherwise started before the Nvidia driver is properly loaded or something like that?
