Hello,

I have been using the PS3GRID LIVE usb pen drive for crunching the WU\'s ...Works great !

As you know wifi isnt supported so ethernet is the only option..

Today i installed YDL 5.0 - wifi is not supported.

If i download YDL 5.1 - will this support/work with the PS3\'s inbuilt wireless device ?

*** Or - Should i ***

YDL V6 - I know that this is availiable and is stable and working fine - Shold i just go straight to YDL V6 ?

And does this (YDL V6) work with the PS3\'s inbuilt wireless device ?

Kind Regards,

John

I haven\'t tried it, but as far as I know wifi is supported since YDL 5.2 - so it should also work with YDL 6...

Hello,

I think i\'ll install the newer version: YDL V6

I might as well download V6 as i only have to hand/availiable V5.0

Thanks for your help - Easy when you know how !!!

Regards,

John :)

Installation instructions for pen drive indicate that wired internet connection is mandatory.

Is there any way to crunch for ps3grid with wi-fi-only internet access for the ps3's?

i.e., full linux install instead of pen drive install?

Or is wired internet an absolute requirement under all circumstances?

Thanx in advance,

full linux install instead of pen drive install?

That works, its how I run mine.
It was a bit tricky to setup (this time last year) but I think new versions have made it easier

I got wifi working on the latest version of Yellow Dog using online documentation. It wasn't impossibly difficult and it works well.
