I've been crunching work units with my nvidia GTX 275 on win 7 64bit ultimate since February until today. I started getting this message today: "Fermi-class GPU needed" "No work sent" Anybody have any ideas how to solve this? |

You need to change your prerefences. Accept all applications. Good luck. Ton (ftpd) Netherlands |

hmmm, Ok, I checked under preferences and I can't find any setting relating to "Accept all Applications" Can you be a little more specific? I haven't changed anything at all so any more ideas? |

You have to check/accept acemd and acemd2 and beta applications in your prerefences. Everything works OK for your computer. The acemd application was just for fermi-cards (gtx470/480). So you can uncheck acemd! Good luck Ton (ftpd) Netherlands |

BOINC will also ask for CPU work to which, you will receive that message as GPUGRID doesn't have any and it's normal. Radio Caroline, the world's most famous offshore pirate radio station. Great music since April 1964. Support Radio Caroline Team - Radio Caroline |

I have Boinc ver6.10.8, I'm in advanced view of the Boinc manager, under Advanced--->Preferences there is no "check/accept acemd and acemd2 and beta applications" to be found. Are you referring to some other preference setting or a whole different version. I downloaded a newer version but I'm still getting the same error. |

Application preferences are set on this website, not in your local BOINC Manager. Now that all production (not test) applications are from the v6.04/.05/.06 range, it looks as if the choice mechanism has been disabled to avoid the confusion between ACEMD and ACEMD v2. |

I had not noticed the app selection section had been removed. As long as the server is smart enough to hand out apps that are compatible to the machine asking for work this is good. It will be interesting to see how well this works going forward as new app versions are released. Thanks - Steve |

Boinc asks for work, is told you dont have a fermi or gives you ferim work (CUDA30), then if you dont have a fermi you are given non-fermi tasks; ACEMD ver 2, cuda 2.2 (cuda). Sarojz is getting work, and the server selections for ACEMD and ACEMD ver 2 are no longer on the web site. |

Try to save the preferences anyway. |

I'm still getting the same error about every other time boinc request work units or tries to upload. Went to my prefs section but didn't find anything that would help. |

I would very much like to return crunching for GPUGrid, do you have any possible solutions? Thank you in advance. Valter Aguiar www.parquesepracasdecuritiba.com.br |
