Is there any plans to increase the length of time for bonus on double length units.
Lets say from 24hr to 36hr for 50% and leave 48hr 25%

A 50% increase in time for 50% bonus doesn't seem unreasonable as WUs are 100% longer.

I think the original plan was to have a faster app ready at the same time the *long* WUs got released so there would be no need to change the bonus calculation. While I understand your concern about this topic I personally would pref GDF and team spend their time on getting new app versions through beta and into production before looking at bonus again.
Just my 2 cents.

Indeed. As Snow Crash says, generalised increase of WU length may come as new faster app is finally out. At the moment, just a subset of the running WUs are twice as long. The test was set for the *PYEEI* Wus as potentially would significantly improve analyses of these experiments. And it certainly does. So our idea is to increase size of WUs in the near future.
We will let you know in advance though.

As described in this thread, we have submitted ~450 *long* WUs to the new app 6.72 (Windows only at the moment).

Since the new app is not out yet for linux, why do I keep getting long WU? My GT220 takes well over 24 hours to complete so the 50% bonus is out of reach even if my PC is running 24 hours a day.
