Yes, but how many places did you climb here?
How is your overall Boinc contribution doing?

Participating in Beta test applications is voluntary - you can opt out on your project preferences page.

If you do decide to participate in Beta tests, it would be helpful to report problems with v6.15 in the sticky thread towards the top of this message board - before the testing progress moves on to v6.21!

yep, i'm doing really well, thanks to new apps :-)

Sorry for misunderstanding: I'm not complaining, i'm reporting the bug. In fact, I did it in other topics already.

I wanna know if there will be steps to fix or not, that's :-)

When are you going to reduce cpu utilization ?
Futhermore, no signifant changes for Linux applications and always error calculation problems on GTX295 gpus.
It is a bit frustrating.

CPU utilization in Linux is a problem of the driver. Some user reported that the application got stuck with low-cpu, so we had to default to high cpu usage.

We have solved the problem this way (available in the next Linux and Windows version). The user will decide how to use the CPU by setting an environment variable. Options are:

1) maximum performance and safety (use fully one cpu core for coordinating the GPU)

2) normal performance (use only a few per cent of a CPU core)

These changes will be released and explained better with the next application.

Thank you for this news gdf.
But I have one question perhaps more but the first would be what is the version of the Linux driver impacted ? and the last would be what's the combination of Gpugrid application and Linux driver causing this stuck ?
Personnally, I never had this problem.
Continue to communicate with us, it's a very interesting project.

I don't know what's the problem with the Linux driver. For some users did not work. For us, it works.

Could it be possible to have or to choose via preferences this low cpu app ?
Thank you.
