This has happened several times and not to the same machine. WUs finish in less than 24 hours, sometimes less than 12 and no bonus.

It's because the computer that got the WU first reported it after 2 days but before you did, so you got the same amount of credit he did. I have this happen often I don;t think they can fix it because it's been known about for a while now.

It works the other way round as well, if you reported the WU first and within a day you would've got the 50% bonus. If the host that got the WU first reported after you but within the deadline (5 Days) he would also get 50% bonus despite his being after 2 days.

Credit aside, it's in the interest of the project to get WU's back as quickly as possible so they don't wait 5 days to re-issue a WU. Once a host has reached and breached 2 days without result WU is re-issued to a fast host and that's why this credit problem exists.
