When I try to change the resolution, it says \"No refresh rates were reported by your x display server....\"

I am using an LCD, so it wouldn\'t have any refresh rates. What do I do?

Also, if I don\'t have the network cord plugged in during boot, can I plug it in after boot? how do I tell it to look for network after I booted?
