For some reason, I can't get the second card to be recognized by GPUGrid. I still have (0.21 CPUs, 1 CUDA) running on GPUGrid. Plus after installing the second card, there were several computation errors. I uninstalled the graphics drivers, went into safe mode and reinstalled the drivers, but still only one CUDA device is running. I am using two EVGA 896-P3-1255-AR devices. And yes, I put the "cable" on the SLi portion of the cards (there were two places to put the "cable" but I used the slot by the back edge. (Hope I did that correctly.) |

what version of the nvid drivers are you using, as 190.38+ had it set where computing will occur on both gpu's, any driver before that you have manually disable sli. plus their is a setting in the cc_config file of boinc for use all gpus. add this line to the cc_config file in boinc: <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> cc_config file configuration: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Client_configuration |

it needs to be in this form: <cc_config> <options> <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> </options> </cc_config> |

What is GPU-Z showing & device manager ? Also two GPU's ? If "yes', try to move one card to another PCI-E slot, in case that it availiable on MB. Did you also use ZyDOR's recommendations for drivers uninstall prcedure? Yours, Jet |

Jet, i don't know if you read everything or not, but his problem is fixed.! Is it? You could read that into what he wrote, but he didn't say so. I'd have suggested extending the desktop to the 2nd GPU.. but I don't want you to kill anyone ;) MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |

Hi, has anyone a summary about the GTX260 troubles? I can remember a posting, that says, end of august maybe a solution available. Yesterday i tried it, but my wu's still fail. I use latest versions of Boinc (6.10.0), nvidia driver and vista 64. Currently i run einstein and seti cuda wu's, they work fine, but I'm looking forward to enable gpugrid again. Regards Alexander |
