my 295 can only run one wu properly, the other gpu works fine, is detected and no sli issues, but after 5-10min of crunching the error message comes out and i loss that wu. Since there's a wu limit i have to stop the downloads or in 60 min i'll have 1 wu crunching and 9 errors... the os is ubuntu jaunty x64 with cuda 2.3 and 185 nvidia driver what possible solutions should i try?? thanks in advance |

It could be that the 2nd chip on your card or its memory is defect. But I don't know any software (3D Mark, FurMar, ATT Artefact Tester etc.) to test this under linux. MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |

You may need to look into adding the LimitVideoPresentSources entry to the registry to get the second core working. Or do what I did and give up on CUDA entirely. |

were you ever able to find an answer to this? I currently have a zotac gtx 295 and have the same issue. I have tried to get both going using vista and win7 but with no luck. current config: core i7 920 zotaz gtx 295 driver 190.62 asus p6t delux 6gb gskill ddr3 1600 dual monitors, 1 with dvi port 1 and the 2nd connected to the hdmi port I can get gpu 0 to run when I have both monitors connected to dvi ports but when I use the hdmi port only gpu 1 will work. I am confused and frustrated so any help would be great. |

I have an EVGA GTX295 and in order to get both GPUs crunching I have to activate PhysX in the second GPU. I have both DVI conected to two monitors (really it's a KVM switch) and the desktop is extended to the second "monitor". I tried it sometime with GPUGRID and it worked fine. Now it is with Collatz because the high temperatures. Win Vista 32 bits Nvidia driver 190.38 |

I finally got my 295 going with 190.62 as detailed here. http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=101930&pid=586227&st=40&#entry586227 I don't need reg fixes, secondary or fake monitors any more. This may be Windows specific though. |
