What is the cause of the above?

I'm running on Windows 7 RTM x86.
I installed the latest BOINC client from Berkely.
I set it to run in Protected Mode (Is this the problem?).
I installed the latest CUDA drivers from Nvidia.
I rebooted after installed.
I detached and reattached from GPUGrid with no change.

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers!

Hi,

what does BOINC say at startup? BOINC seems not to recognize your card, although 9600 GSO is supposed to work.

Hi.
If I remember correctly, running in protected mode is the problem with Vista and, I guess, Win7 also. I think it has something to do with permissions on accessing the video driver.

BR,

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help. I suspected that was the problem, but from the wording in the installer it made it sound more like some graphic displays showing what was being computed would be effected, not the actual computation itself.

Thanks again,
