Hello, I have no completed two WU on the new app without any problems (190.38, Win 7 64 Bit), but I see no increase in computation power and credits. See this for example: WU at 6.64: 44.480 ms/TS, 6,158.56 credits WU at 6.67: 44.650 ms/TS, 6,158.56 credits Now, what is the benefit of the new application? |

from what i gather, it's just a technical change to keep somewhat up-to-date.... make it more compatible with 190 and future drivers as nvidia releases new drivers once a month. |

Hello, I can't see how they got the new 2.2 libraries on to our computers because I had on old unit (6.64) and one new unit (6.67) on the machine at the same time and the 2.2 files have the same name as the 2.1 so need to be overwritten. I don't think they have substituded the cuda 2.1 files in the projects folder with the 2.2 files and thus no increase in performance. If they gave us the 2.2 runtime files we could put them in manually. Radio Caroline, the world's most famous offshore pirate radio station. Great music since April 1964. I don't think they have substituded the cuda 2.1 files in the projects folder with the 2.2 files and thus no increase in performance. Actually, they did manage it. Here are the entries from client_state.xml: <file_ref>
<file_name>cufft.dll.2.2</file_name>
<open_name>cufft.dll</open_name>
<copy_file/>
</file_ref>
<file_ref>
<file_name>cudart.dll.2.2</file_name>
<open_name>cudart.dll</open_name>
<copy_file/>
</file_ref>Have a look in the slot folder for a running task: if the cudafft.dll file (whatever its name is, there should only be one) is over 1 MB in size, it's the v2.2 code. |

Thanks for that Richard. will take a look. I am still a little bemused why no significant performance increase. Radio Caroline, the world's most famous offshore pirate radio station. Great music since April 1964. Support Radio Caroline Team - Radio Caroline |

I am still a little bemused why no significant performance increase. Why should it be there? Minor version upgrades like 2.1 -> 2.2 can also be purely bug-fixing. MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |
