From what I gather they are basically one half of a GTX295. That is a single GPU on it, but the same number of shaders (240). They seem to have a few fans on them (depending on brand, 2 or 3) so obviously they produce a fair bit of heat. Any ideas on how long they take to get through a GPUgrid wu? BOINC blog |

They are practically equivalent to a GTX280 at the same clock in terms of speeds. We are getting only 275 because of the price. gdf |

Here's a Box of mine that's running Dual BFG GTX 275's. I thought I'd give them a try as they as considerably cheaper than the GTX 280's & can be OC'ed just as high as any of the GTX's 200 Series Cards ... :) |

All, I seem to have been doing fairly well for the last month or so with just the one Asus-built GTX275. I find that it runs pretty hot on the stock heatsink (around 80C) at standard speed (no overclocking) but it's been running under the 185.50 nVidia driver set without generating any WU errors. I'm getting through a GPUGrid WU in 6½ to 7½ hours (depending on the WU type) so that's about seven WUs every two days. Maybe it's time to look at geting a better heatsink and cranking up the speed a bit . . . Cheers Dave |

they produce a fair bit of heat. Yes, but it's completely in line with the rest of the series and the cards speeds. MrS Scanning for our furry friends since Jan 2002 |

Thanks for the replies guys. I have ordered one. I had a 500w power supply ready to go into the last quaddie. Fortunately I didn't open it. I took it back to the shop and swapped it over for a 700w one (they didn't have any seasonic 600w in stock). Still waiting on the card to arrive. BOINC blog |
