New to this PS3Grid thing. I used to run Folding@Home but i prefer the BOINC client. So, here i am. I downloaded my first WU yesterday. 24 hours later it is still not done. I am reading that it should take somewhere in the timeframe of 88K seconds? 24 hours is over 5 Million seconds... Is something wrong? |

New to this PS3Grid thing. I used to run Folding@Home but i prefer the BOINC client. So, here i am. You math, 24 Hours 24hr*60min*60sec/min = 86,400 seconds. The run time is about 24 hours and 30-40 minutes. If you use the PS3 for anything else it runs slower. Do you have other projects running ? Make sure you have your preferences set to remove task from memory when suspended, We have seen run times keep counting if the client switches to another project, due to the nature of the PS3 Cell Processors. If you have the screensaver enabled that steals CPU cycles too. I have seen run times in the 105K to 120K seconds on some hosts when viewing other users. I do not run anything else, no screensaver as my monitor is off usally beacuse I use remote monitoring and mine pretty much always take 88K-89K seconds. |

There is no screensaver enabled, everything is defaults except the boinc username/password. Thanks for the quick response though! :p |
