YOu have to turn on the flag to use all GPUs if you have more than one, otherwise on a pair of GTX295 cards you will only get three. This bug has been traced to a use on the second GPU of 64K of memory by something else (meaning that the memory size reported for that GPU is always lower by 64K), a bug in the drivers? VIdeo buffer? Scratch Pad? who knows ... Anyway, there is no real fixes in 6.6.25 other than to patch the huge problem in 6.6.24 The debt accumulation bug from 6.6.x is still with us. |

Should please a number of people with mixed GPU systems. There isn't much there for a single GPU user to move up to it from 6.6.24. Rob |

Should please a number of people with mixed GPU systems. Supposedly they added more debug statements (I have not seen them yet, though I have not been looking specifically for them either). I happen to be running it now because I am trying to get them to attend to the multitude of bugs in 6.6.x ... |

From a GPUgrid wu done yesterday: # Using CUDA device 1 # Device 0: "GeForce GTX 260" # Clock rate: 1242000 kilohertz # Total amount of global memory: 939196416 bytes # Number of multiprocessors: 27 # Number of cores: 216 # Device 1: "GeForce GTX 260" # Clock rate: 1242000 kilohertz # Total amount of global memory: 939261952 bytes # Number of multiprocessors: 27 # Number of cores: 216 Certainly seems like 64k less on the 1st device. As you say may be an issue with the device driver. There have been reports of this under 181.22. In my case I am running 182.50 drivers. BOINC blog |

Drivers 185.81 don't show the missing 64k. Here's an example WU done with them. http://www.gpugrid.net/result.php?resultid=611732 |
