Ha ha LOL. Projects can't win for losing.

All the posts about how the project credits tasks absurdly high and now a post how unfair the acemd tasks award credit using the official BOINC CreditNew algorithm.

In fact you have 10 times less credits running ACEMD3 compared to ATMML:

ACEMD3: 16_000 credits for 1_600 CPU seconds, so 10 credits per CPU second
ATMML: 2_700_000 for 27_000 CPU seconds, so 100 credits per CPU second

I actually find that ACEMD3 tasks are still worth it as they require less time to complete, so it is way less likely that you lose your computations. Also the 2_700_000 credits for ATMML are distributed only if you complete the task 24h maximum after you received it.

You don't lose any progress when stopping the client when running acemd tasks.

They've properly checkpointed and resumed since just about the beginning of their appearance at the project.

A safe project option for those that can't leave the client running 24/7.
