You have not installed BOINC properly.
Have you clicked on the advanced tab during installation and deselected protected mode?

What version BOINC do you have ?

When it starts, what are the first few messages it prints, specifically the two lines about co-processors ?

What version NVIDIA drivers do you have ?

......cell processor message.... I'm getting this intermittently since upgrading to 6.4.5 from 6.4.2 .. have downloaded some GPU WUs - then the occasional message about not having the correct processor.
Not happening on my other machines running 6.4.2

I have the same problem.

I have a GeForce 8800 GT - 256/512/1024M - 112 shader units

Linux gametime 2.6.27-9-generic #1 SMP Thu Nov 20 22:15:32 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux (Ubuntu - Intrepid)

and I get "full-atom molecular dynamics on Cell process is not available on your type of computer.

I did do a sudo dpkg-reconfigure boinc-client and the messages went away but I still do not have any work units.

I get the same error. Using custom ForceWare 180.84 Drivers so they support a 9700M GT 512 MB GDDR3. My card is CUDA enabled and SETI Cuda is running fine. GPU GRID will not run for me.

After a nice long reboot. Everything works now. Go figure.
