Hi everyone,

I am Linux user (Arch Linux);

My GPU is Nvidia GT740. nvidia-418.43 and cuda-10.0.130 are installed.

Each time I tried to calculate something from GPUgrid (Quantum Chemistry (CPU)), calculation failed after several tens of seconds or a few minutes.

I also don't understand why other GPUgrid projects are not load (they are checked in my gpugrid preferences). Maybe a problem with the GPU driver or something else. (Calculations with the GPU work with Folding@home)

Thanks for your help and advices,

Regards

Fabien

I don't know what the minimum requirements for the graphics cards may be. It could be your card doesn't meet the minimum compute capability or doesn't have enough memory.

You could possibly have too much gpu work for other projects currently preventing asking for gpu work here.

Thx for your answer.

My card is listed in this message (https://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=3976&nowrap=true#39466). So I guess (but maybe I'm wrong) that my card is enough strong.

Same problem if I stop Foldingathome. No other boinc project use GPU.

I don't think there is a CUDA65 application for Linux based on the project apps page.

https://www.gpugrid.net/apps

There still is for Windows but I only see CUDA80 application for Linux.

I believe that is your problem.

It looks like the machine was unable to access the internet or specifically anaconda servers. Each QC task contacts anaconda servers to load additional packages that run inside the environment.

Both SETI@home and Einstein@home tasks use GPU. SETI users have GTX 1660.
