I can't upload any WU's, nothing wrong on my end. But, if I can't upload, I can't download work either.

It seems that every day about this time our upload speeds slow to a crawl or stop completely, anybody know why? Is someone working on it? I wish somebody would answer these questions.

Most projects suffer a delay once every 24 hours while the external stats data is first generated and then downloaded by the stats sites.

The timestamps in http://www.gpugrid.net/stats/ are 11:45 - probably server local time, so UTC+1

Flashawk, what time do you typically see an issue? About a month ago we were having an issue with the server getting maxed out on disk space, but we have since resolved that. Should be a non issue. Of course, it could be something else, as Richard says. Let us know specifically the time and time zone, and we'll look to see if there's something going on in the server at those times.

Hey Nate, thanks for responding. It started about a week ago, it slows way down and sometimes stops all together and goes in to retry mode. I live in the Pacific time zone (west coast North America), it usually slows around 3 A.M. my time, that's when I'm leaving in the morning. I run tests to make sure it's not on my end and it works fine, just uploading to GPUGRID, downloads work fine too. I can't understand why it doesn't affect others.

It's slowed down right now, I can't believe I'm the only one it's happening to.

You may be the only one who uploads frequently enough to notice. But it's the right time of day for 'busy with stats'.

Nice catch. I don't think any other oddity goes on on the server at this time. Net congestion is also unlikely, given that it's off-peak in the US.

Sun Badger, I would try to restart your client before aborting. If it is a client issue and not the WU, you will have to deal with it again after the next WU.

Is/was there any problem in the night with the server? I see my machines are all has sheduler contacted 17.5 but last report was 16.5 so it looks like the machines are in upload problems or waiting now several hours for upload retry? I looked into anothers profile with a 660ti and i think too there is a rather long time (nearly 20hours) between two noelia workunitreports. My inet there is ok, but they are unattended machines so i cant look whats going on really. Anyone noticing the same problem?

Not that we're aware of. Currenlty we're recieving WUs. It is possible that the internet in our building/area went down in the night, but we don't think so. Boinc clients shouldn't be crippled by that. Anyone else notice problems?

I've not experienced any network problems recently. It may just be an issue just for dskagcommunity. This typically occurs when your ISP changes DNS settings but your systems don't update. From a command prompt type, ipconfig -flushdns, then ipconfig -release and then ipconfig -renew.
If that doesn't work try turning your router off and then on after >1min, then use the ipconfig commands again or just restart.
