I think this is just a very old, and very well known, bug at this project - but obviously, as a new user, it'll have been the first time you've seen it, and I'm not surprised that it's confused you.

First, it looks like your GPU is fine. You have two tasks allocated (the maximum permitted here), and as far as we can tell from here, they'll be OK. Keep an eye on them in BOINC Manager if you want - we won't see anything until you complete and report the first one.

With regard to the error message: your computer will (separately) ask for work to be computed on your graphics card, and also for work to be computed on your CPU.

The GPU request should succeed, and it has. The CPU request will always fail, because this is a GPU only project - they don't do CPU work here. But stupidly (and I really, really wish the project would fix this), you get this silly message about Fermi and 2.2 in response to every CPU request.

I have the same issue and l'm lost on fixing it.

I recently bought a PNYGTX460 as an upgrade to my workstations GT9800.

I run a Quadcore processor, so the message l get from my laptop about needing 4 cores doesnt apply. My laptop has a GT230M.

What l get from Win7 64bit or Ubuntu 10.10 64bit, on my main 3D rendering workstation with the GTX460 is -
Message from server - your computer has no Nvidia CPU
My boinc s/w is version 6.10.58
Nvidia driver is 266.58
Cant find a clear answer to this on the web or GPUGRID forum

Sometimes it can take a bit of time to get tasks, especially when you first connect. The fermi-class not supported by cuda 2.2 message is a server side issue and not a client configuration issue. Task allocation generally improves after you return a few tasks.
