Is there a way to stream audio from pc to the ps3 while running linux (AND thus BOINCing at same time)?
At moment I can make contact with mediaserver etc and it finds my pc-harddrive and media-directories but once I want to open THAT certain media-dir it's asking for password and username .... and my wired network (ps3 - pc) is not password required.
My pc is the internet-hub for the ps3 so the network works fine. There is no firewall between pc and ps3.

The PS3 works fine as mediaserver when booted with the game-OS.
The ps3 is connected with my audio-amplifier (the pc not), I had also before a Roku SoundBridge between pc-amplifier wired and it worked good without asking for password (still have the sb but not using it anymore because the ps3 did the same, but only with game o/s ???).
