Today, I noticed a new global preferences item at SETI@home:

"Suspend GPU work while computer is in use? Enforced by version 6.7+"

BUt even after upgrading to the latest BOINC 6.6.4 (Linux 64 Bit), this doesn't work, alas. :-( Does this new feature need to be implemented by the projects? Then this would be my top first wish for GPUGRID! :-D

It's included in the settings for the 6.6.10 client. It works, too.

Is there any way this functionality can be improved?

I have "Use GPU while computer is in use" UN-checked, and no matter how much I move the mouse or mash the keyboard, the gpugrid program carries on regardless.

I have this set on the project's site preferences and my local preferences too.

It looks like boinc can't detect that the computer is in use...

A had the opposite problem on both my WinXP64 machines. The GPUGRID client would pause for 3 minutes whenever I moved the mouse until I set the "Suspend work while computer is on battery power?" option to No and did an update. One was BOINC v6.6.24 and the other v6.6.28. "Suspend work while computer is in use?" and "Suspend GPU work while computer is in use?" were already set to No. All power options such as suspend, blank disks, etc were disabled in the OS. Go figure.

GPUGRID TAKES OVER MY GPU AND COMPUTER. Very irritating. Please cause the gpu to pause Grid net gpu projects while computer is in use.
