I know there are many I'd like to see in my life, but I'm going to choose one:

Cancer. Cancer because I have lost both of my grandpa's from it, one before I was born and the other 6 years ago on Christmas day 2010.

This is one of the many reasons why I'm doing whatever I can to support bio projects with my computer and hopefully with more computers as I get older.

Feel free to share what you want to see in your lifetime. Thanks for reading!

Cure for mitochondrial defects. My little boy suffers from muscle weakness and the doctors suspect a lack of ATP in his mitochondria.

I would love to see HCF1 protein folding and interaction simulations to help my little boy... someday.

Thank you! Well, it could have been worse. He can walk and run, but has an ataxic gait, hyperlordosis, senso-motoric problems, learning handicap and dyspraxia. Some days are really physically demanding. But I love him even so :-*

Besides, I have bettered myself and worked into organic chemistry and neurology and hope to find a therapy for him (by the help of our attending physician) before myelination is complete. At present, we try to increase the ATP gain by changing to a low carb/ketogenic diet.

Heaven helps those who help themselves... hopefully.

Parkinsons; all male members of my family have been affected by it, grandfather is in late stages, father starting to show symptoms, chances are i'll have it in some form.
