........... Same issue for me - was working fine yesterday - looked like a maximum download of 10 WU's at a time - today, my fallback project (priority 0) is busy with CPU WUs.

Strange. We have a lot of workunits in the line-up, so there shouldn't be an issue. We'll look into it.

After being a GPUGrid member for so long it just looks wrong to see 58,490 work units ready to send :-)

Thanks for the information. There was apparently a bad batch of WU's sent initially which all failed, causing the server to tag you all as "unreliable" CPU crunchers, which means it will only send few WU's to you. If it doesn't go away soon we will have to find a way to reset that status.

Any chance to implement a better message from the server, so that it is more obvious to use mere users? If we're being limited due to "too many recent failures", perhaps the server can actually mention that, for us to see in the Event Log?

Any chance to implement a better message from the server, so that it is more obvious to use mere users? If we're being limited due to "too many recent failures", perhaps the server can actually mention that, for us to see in the Event Log? This 'feature' was implemented a long time ago and this was discussed at Seti way back when. The thinking was too much info will make people angry and cause lots of further discussions that could lead to people leaving. The formula is/was that for every good unit you return you will get 2 units to crunch in return. Meaning it should build back up very quickly to the projects maximum limit per day per user, assuming there is one, or whatever a user can do if there isn't one. This is over a 24 hour basis though, so if you are allowed 12 units today and return all of them correctly, then tomorrow you will get 24 units, then 48 units, etc, etc. The penalty of fewer units for a user was implemented for those pc's that always return nothing but junk yet the user has no clue or interest in fixing it. It used to be that as long as you signed up you got units to crunch, even if you returned nothing but junk. This makes for more work by the projects Servers and slows down access for everyone. The Admins asked for a solution and they got one, it sorta kinda works well most of the time. There also used to be a line or two under each computers in my account that showed that you were being throttled, I don't know if it's still there or not as it isn't visible to the non account viewer. The line said something like 'only allowed 12 units out of 100 per day' or something like that.

I have "Docking CPU only app: yes". I am not sure, but perhaps you should set "Use CPU" to yes as well. At least that is what I have done and have both CPU and GPU WU's. ____________ Greetings from TJ

I have "Docking CPU only app: yes". Thanks TJ. It's obvious when you see it! They're coming down...
