Hello - I don't seem to be able to get any WUs. I got my first one when I connected to GPUGRID. I did complete the original WU successfully and received credit for the completion but since then I have not received another one. When I tried to get one manually by pressing the update button in my BOINC manager I received the following message,

3/15/2014 8:59:25 AM | GPUGRID | Tasks won't finish in time: BOINC runs 97.7% of the time; computation is enabled 97.2% of that.

I'm not sure why it's saying I can't complete a WU in time. I increased the amount of system resources that GPUGRID can use and still get the same message.

I am running Windows 7 with an Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHz and 8 GB of memory. The video card is a Nvidia GTX 650 with 2 GB of memory and the most current drivers 335.23.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Warren

Go to:
Tools -> Computing Preferences -> Network Usage

What values do you have for the 2 buffer settings? (Minimum work buffer, and max additional work buffer)

The minimum work buffer might be used in the deciding of whether to give you work or not. In addition to it being the "always carry at least this much work" setting, it is also the "work under the assumption that BOINC may lose network connectivity for this long" setting. So, a super large value might cause problems.

I use 0.1 days and 0.5 days as my 2 values.

I would add that a GTX650 would be best used to only run short tasks (not long tasks).
