It looks like a CC2.0 version of a GTX560 Ti has been released with 448 shaders.
I don't have one to confirm that it really is CC2.0, but that's what the specs say.

At around £219 UK, $289, €256, they look lik good value for money, compared to the slightly higher spec cards; 21% cheaper for 9% less performance.

I remember predicting these would turn up. Took long enough. We really have been missing something like this, to bridge the gap between the nobbled performance of mid range CC2.1 cards and high end CC2.0 GF 500 cards. The 256 usable shaders of the GTX560Ti384 is a long way from the 480shaders of the GTX570. While this is $40 more than the lesser version, it is $80 less than a GTX570.

This is basically a GTX470 in the 500 series shell; 2 disabled SM's. It has a reference TDP of 210W, not much lower than the 215W TDP of the GTX470, but with the shaders up from 607Mhz to 732MHz it should be around 20% faster. Probably around 1312 GFlops peak.

As usual NVidia have no common sense when it comes to naming, so instead of naming it a GTX565 they chose to confuse the world yet again with an already in use name (GeForce GTX 560 Ti)!
So you really must make sure it has 448 cuda cores (shaders), and check that it's GF110.

Yeah, this is a much better card for GPU-Grid than the regular GTX560. It's just a hair, ehm SM, below the GTX570. And it uses the current GF110 chip for sure, so no need for special checks. Or that's what they said ;)

And it's going to be in limited supply. These are actually faulty chips, stocked up over the last year. NVidia doesn't intend to cripple good GF110 to make more of these once they're sold out. They're expecting the supplies to last for ~2 months. That's also the official reason for the horrible name: it's a special edition and not going to stay in the lineup - which would have to be expected from a "GTX565". Take it for what it's worth..
