Here is link from a thinq.co.uk article about a start-up company called Adapteva making risc chips that wants to do the same as Intel's MIC (also known as Knights Corner/Knights Ferry).

They claim they have a 64 core chip called the Epiphany IV. They are smaller at 10mm square and using 28nm fabrication. Oh and it only uses 2 watts.
