Hi Guys,

The project would like to get a GTX580, or maybe even a couple of them. They are available from their supplier from the 1st of December. They cost 380 euros plus VAT.

Given I am on the other side of the world its easier for me to donate money. They can take credit card or PayPal donations. Every bit helps so the guys can keep optimising the apps and so on. I have put my money up, now how about the rest of you?

Cheers,
MarkJ

Well I can't comment as I have a GTX570 (not the 580). Mine is averaging 4.5 hours. Work units vary in size.

What is the load average of your 570?
For me, it's about 60%.

For me, it's about 60%.

The load varies from task to task. Some IBUCH tasks use around 50 to 60% GPU while some GIANNI tasks are between 90 and 99%
To some extent it depends on your system, but it always depends on your setup.

Just installed a 570 yesterday. Running a Kashif unbound and showing 64% GPU load, 17% memory controller load, 40.5A and 38.3W, this for a mild 800core/1600shader/950mem overclock. With the fan at 70%/2820rpm temp is hovering around 60C. Task completion in about 4.5hrs here.

Kashif unbound GPU-Z 0.49.0 showing 64% GPU load, 17% memory controller load, 40.5A and 38.3W

GPU-Z 0.5.0 is out, fixes:

Fixed TMU/Texture Fillrate rounding error on NVIDIA cards
Improved voltage monitoring support for GTX 570
Workaround for ATI OpenCL driver crashing GPU-Z on systems with NVIDIA cards

This new GPU-Z now reports 64% gpu load, 14%mem., same as before but I see lower figures for voltage monitoring:

VDDC Current 36.5A - 38.5A
VDDC Power 34.8-36W

FWIW, on a GTX570 OC'd but with no voltage increases by me.

GTX580 900/2200 1.138v
avg GPU load: 35%
VDDC Current Max: 43A

What can I do to launch 3 WUs in same time?
