Message 10887 - Posted: 27 Jun 2009 | 18:38:58 UTC

I just installed Boinc and adde3d GPUGRIS as one of the projects. I keep getteng a message from the server " Message from server: ( Project has no jobs available)

Is this normal or is there some sort of error?

Using Boinc 6.6.36 with a Quadro FX 3800 and a Nahalem 5570

Looks like you are getting errors out the wazzoo.

Try going back to an earlier Boinc version (6.5.0) and Driver (182.50).

These are working for my Windows x64 system.....This might help you get your machine working.

Advance your Boinc and Driver versions with great caution around here.

Old thread, but I have the same issue.

BOINC reports that the feeder isn't running, and the status page here says the same thing...

Right, apparently something went bump about six hours ago. There has been no notice or sign that the folks who handle the server are aware of this as of yet -- which is rather disappointing. I think the server site is in Spain, so the problem started in the afternoon for them, it is now late evening. Perhaps when we wake up here in the US tomorrow we will see some response regarding the problem as by then folks in Barcelona will have had a working day to notice and respond to the problem.

Another resurrection for an old thread. Server Status says:

GPU Results ready to send 2

and I can't get hold of either of them!

You'll have some extra volunteers for a while, because SETI has run dry: anyone got a way of sending a message to the workunit generators to get them to turn up the wick a bit?

Edit - now there are 216, and I've got one of them. That was quick - many thanks.

Good to know -- though it does seem that rather than an eye, work units are what might be needed :)

I am guessing that notwithstanding what this reports:

http://www.gpugrid.net/server_status.php

The servers are not 'all green' -- I suspect for some server/project reason/condition, the servers are not generating new work and in fact have no CUDA work available at the moment. As it is evening back in Spain, I further suspect we'll have a 12 hour wait before the server problem is addressed.

Looks like we are seeing new working slim pickings again today. No one else has commented on this, so perhaps it is only me.

Message 13936 - Posted: 14 Dec 2009 | 23:54:22 UTC - in response to Message 13890.

My work done always seems to be at zero, but if I trace back through the logs (looking for GPU tasks) for the last 3 days nothing, but last night it did get some and did process up to 5 tasks.

tasks seem to be processed & uploaded:
12/14/2009 1:49:35 AM GPUGRID Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for GPU
12/14/2009 1:49:40 AM GPUGRID Scheduler request completed: got 1 new tasks
.....
12/14/2009 1:55:58 AM GPUGRID Finished upload of 57-GIANNI_BIND_507-44-100-RND5480_0_0
12/14/2009 1:55:58 AM GPUGRID Finished upload of 57-GIANNI_BIND_507-44-100-RND5480_0_7

but...

12/14/2009 1:56:51 AM GPUGRID Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
12/14/2009 1:56:51 AM GPUGRID Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for GPU
12/14/2009 1:56:56 AM GPUGRID Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks
12/14/2009 1:56:56 AM GPUGRID Message from server: No work sent
12/14/2009 1:56:56 AM GPUGRID Message from server: (reached daily quota of 5 tasks)

only 5 tasks can be processed per day? Its mostly the 0 workload that doesn't seem right.

I did load rosetta simply to see what that project would do.

Solved one mystery to discover another, I have 0 work units completed because they have ALL failed with an error. I have a 9600GT with latest drivers and CUDA *should* be installed??
